A document is accessible only to the user who uploaded it. In other words, a user never has access to a document that has not been uploaded from their account.
As a reminder, when you use Magister or Copyright (institutional use only), the analysed documents are compared to:
- All openly accessible internet content
- All documents in your institution's database
Plus, for Magister, all documents in the Compilatio database (all the documents analysed via Magister in all partner schools).
In the last two cases, all your documents can be compared with each other during the analysis.
However, the documents' confidentiality remains intact in its entirety: you do not have access to the entirety of the comparison documents whose contents are encrypted by XXX, but only to the similar passages in order for you to compare them directly.
Reminder: you can decide at any time if a document will be used or not as a comparison source, by indexing it or deindexing it from your database.
