The Compilatio Studium Analysis Relies on Several Indicators to Estimate the Percentage of Suspect Texts
With Compilatio Studium, you can identify suspicious passages in your students' documents. You will receive:
- A global percentage of suspect texts
- A detailed analysis, including:
- A similarity score
- A score for potentially AI-generated content
What Is a Score for Potentially AI-Generated Text?
It is a number between 0 and 100%.
This percentage represents the portion of the text that resembles the writing style of an AI, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, YouChat, etc.
It is up to the reviewer to determine whether these passages constitute plagiarism or not.
How Does the Compilatio AI Detector Work?
Our AI-generated text detector itself uses artificial intelligence. It has been trained to recognize the writing style of tools like ChatGPT. Using an advanced model, it analyzes context, tone, and writing style to detect passages that resemble AI-generated text. This helps highlight sections that may have been automatically generated.
Why Does Compilatio Indicate "Potentially AI-Generated Texts"?
In the Compilatio Studium interface and result reports, the indicator shown is a percentage of “potentially AI-generated texts” rather than a percentage of “AI-generated texts.” This careful wording is essential because no AI text detection software can claim 100% accuracy.

What to Do in Case of a High Score?
If your text receives a high score for potentially AI-generated content, here are the best steps to take:
✅ Check the affected passages on the "Points of Interest" page (icon ).
✅ Consider what is acceptable or not based on your institution’s regulations, given instructions, and expectations of your instructors.
✅ Be transparent and acknowledge your usage—if you used AI, mention it and explain why (for research, rephrasing, translation, etc.).
