When you start analysis, all documents enter a queue before being processed. Once the process has started, a progress bar is displayed to monitor its progress. You don't need to stay logged in to your account during processing, as it takes place on Compilatio's servers. This means you can launch your analyses in the evening and consult the results the following morning, for example.
Analysis time generally varies between 2 and 5 minutes, depending on the size of the document, the complexity of the elements to be detected and the number of users accessing the software simultaneously.
The analysis is considered complete when the main information appears: the score of suspect texts, their location and distribution.
ℹ️ Please note that a high percentage of suspect texts does not necessarily mean fraud. Rather, a thorough analysis is required to determine whether plagiarism has actually occurred.
For example, when evaluating a law thesis, the software may identify a large number of copy-pasted texts, probably extracts from laws. If these texts are correctly referenced, they can be excluded from the overall score.
On the other hand, a percentage of suspect texts of less than 10% may be enough to reveal an excessive number of similarities.
In general, the level of requirement depends on the type of document analyzed, the subject taught and the school's policy.
