Compilatio plugin installation guide for Canvas

Prerequisites

To install the Compilatio plugin on a Canvas instance, you must first have a Compilatio API key. An API key pack may already be included in your institution's contract. To obtain an API key, please contact your usual contact in our Sales department.

Your Canvas instance must be able to communicate with the lti.compilatio.net domain.

Installation steps

1. Log in to Canvas with an account that has administrative rights
2. In the Canvas Admin area, click on Settings
3. Click on the Apps tab
4. Click on the View App Configurations button
5. Click on the + App button
6. Select Configuration Type By LTI 2 Registration URL
7. Enter the url https://lti.compilatio.net/canvas/app/connect.php in the Registration URL field
8. Click on the Launch Registration Tool button
9. Select the plugin language
10. Enter the API key provided by us
11. Click on the Register button
12. Click on the Activate button to complete the installation
