The regulation provides that data processing carried out by necessity may not be subject to a right of opposition. (Art. 21 of the GDPR) Students must submit personal and original work to their teachers for assessment. Also, searching for similarities in students' submissions is fully part of the assessment process. Compilatio enables the school to carry out necessary data processing. For the sake of clarity and transparency, it is recommended that the institution's school regulations explicitly state that students' work may be analysed with Compilatio services in order to identify potential similarities with other existing documents.
